Photographs that support a bodywork estimate
Show the whole panel and the damaged detail
Begin a body-repair enquiry with a daylight photograph of the entire affected side, then closer views of the dent, split, scrape or paint failure. Include panel edges and gaps rather than only the centre of the mark. Mention doors that no longer close correctly, lighting damage and warnings after an impact; these can change the required inspection beyond cosmetic refinishing.
Agree the finish and extent of repair
Repair, replacement and adjacent paint
Ask whether the proposed scope restores the existing panel or supplies a replacement and why. Paint blending, prior repairs, corrosion, material and access can affect both cost and finish. A photographic indication is a starting point rather than a promise that no concealed brackets or supporting parts are damaged. Confirm when an inspected estimate can be issued.
